The Dunluce Course designed by the famous architect, Harry S. Colt is consistently rated among the worlds top courses. The course has a wonderful history, being the only venue in Ireland for the British Open in 1951 when Max Faulkner won the famous 'claret jug' and Fred Daly the only Irish man to win The Open learned to play here.
The 14th hole Calamity, the most famous on the Dunluce links, is a 205 yard par three requiring accuracy to the green to avoid a deep valley to the right of the green. Other notable holes include White Rock's a Par 4 with its green hanging over the sea and views of white cliffs along the coast and the ruins of Dunluce Castle in the background.
The Valley Course, though not in the same league as Dunluce, is good golf links layout with many of its holes situated in larger sand dunes closer to the sea
