Fota Island is a 5 star golf and hotel resort located just outside Cork City. It is situated in a mature estate that spans nearly 800 acres and hosts 3 superb championship golf courses. Redevelopment work took place on the resort in the late nineties and as a result the Deerpark course hosted the Irish Open in 2000 and 2001.

All three courses are parkland and have a great feel about them; mature trees guard the fairways and water is never too far from the greens.

Cork City is Ireland’s second capital – in the 2007 it was European Capital of culture and provides an excellent base for your vacation. There is plenty of shopping to be had with a maze of small boutiques side-by-side with internationally branded stores.
