Carton House

Carton House hosts two fantastic championship courses, designed by heavyweights of the golfing world.

The Montgomery course has hosted the Irish Open in 2004 and 2005 and is designed with links golf in mind. With rolling fairways and pot-bunkers plentiful Colin Montgomery has hailed his creation as his best yet. Our client’s feedback would testify to this – they just love this course.

Monty has just been announced as the next Captain of the Ryder Cup in Celtic Manor in Wales – as the Europeans attempt to regain the Cup from the United States team that dominated in Valhalla.

Mark O’Meara has designed the second course at Carton House. This is a parkland course and uses the river Rye to shape the challenge that lays ahead of you – if you manage to go through a round without finding water then you can be assured you have played well. This course is consistently voted with the top 5 parkland courses in Ireland.
