The European Club
Type: Links
Par: 71
Location: Wicklow
The links of The European Club is located in magnificent sand dunes on the Irish Sea about 35-miles south from Dublin city centre. Designed and built by well known golf writer and architect Pat Ruddy, The European Club is operated by him with the help of his family. Ruddy’s work is also to be found also at such highly regarded venues as Ballyliffin (Glashedy), Druids Glen, Rosapenna, and Montreal Island Golf Club.
The links of the European Club has developed into one of Ireland's finest links golf courses in a relatively short period of time. The combination of rugged dunes, deep bunkers, sea breezes and large undulating greens makes the golfer think there way around the course. Fast running fairways, greens that invite the pitch and run approach and acres of tall, waving grasses and golden flowered gorse are in abundance at the European Club. The heart of your round at the European Club is the stretch from holes 7 through 13, which features six substantial par 4's and one massive par 5 of almost 600 yards.
