Ballyliffen is Ireland's most northerly golf club, located off Tullagh Point on the Atlantic edge of the Inishowen Peninsula. The Ballyliffen Golf Club was formed in 1947, however the Glasheedy links is much younger (1995). The Glasheedy layout is intertwined with the Old Course with the holes weaving their way through the dunes. It is a very challenging course that stretches out to over 7,200 yards with nine par fours in excess of 400 yards. Huge greens are common with undulations and bunkers protecting these too. Informed sources suspect that it won't be long before Glasheedy stages an Irish Open, it is held with such high regard.
